Puritan Prayer for 2012
Oh Lord,
Longer days do not profit us except those that are spent in Your presence, in Your service, and to Your glory.
Lord this year give us a grace that proceeds, follows, guides, sustains, sanctifies, and aides us every hour so that we are never apart from You.
Lord this year guide us to rely on Your Spirit to supply our every thought, speak every word, direct every step, prosper every work, build our faith, and give us a stronger desire for You, testify your love, and advance Your kingdom.

Tonight we launch our ship into the unknown waters of 2012 with You as our harbor, your Son at the helm, and your Spirit filling our sails.
Guide us into this year with the strength of Your armor, with our lamps burning bright, with our ears open to Your call, our hearts full of love, and our spirits free.
This year we ask for Your- grace to complete us, comfort to cheer us, wisdom to teach us, hand to guide us, counsel to instruct us, law to judge us, presence to stabilize us.
May You be our awe, Your triumphs our joy. Bless us, keep us, may Your face shine upon us, and bring us peace.
In Jesus name we do pray, Yes and Amen.
